Senior Citizens’ Center

The Graysville Senior Center is located at 171 2nd Street, SW adjacent to the Community Center and is open Monday through Friday. It’s the best place in town to start the day with lively conversation and fresh coffee.

The facility presently serves 30 to 35 people per day from Graysville and surrounding areas within Jefferson County.

A monthly calendar and menu is planned and provided for all participants. In addition to serving a hot, nutritious lunch each day around noon, we also play dominoes and cards, work puzzles and exercise by walking in the Community Center. We have access to cable television and occasionally listen to music.

For more information you can visit the center during the hours of 8:00AM until 1:00PM, Monday through Friday. You must be 60 years of age or older and live within Jefferson County to participate in this program. The phone number is (205) 674-0209. The Director of the Senior Center is Kayla James who does a great job coordinating and planning daily and monthly events. Stop by and allow Kayla to escort you on a tour of the facility and introduce you to new friends. All walk-in visitors are more than welcome.
